NBC Olympic Polar Bear Coverage
This clip featuring Canadian polar bears was broadcast to an estimated 20 million viewers during NBC's primetime coverage on February 15. NBC, the U.S. broadcaster of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, selected Churchill, Manitoba as one of the locations to shoot stories to feature during the Olympic coverage. Host Mary Carillo, a former tennis player and a sportcaster, and the NBC film crew flew to Churchill to cover the story of polar bear conservation in the small town in northern Manitoba.
