ITINERARY
Day 1 - Your Canada Vacation Package Begins - Welcome to Winnipeg
Your vacation begins in Winnipeg, a major hub for rail transport and central Canada's largest city. Spend the day exploring its unique culture and colour before really beginning your Canadian adventure package with a scenic train ride north. Spend the night in the comfortable accomodations aboard the train.
Day 2 - All aboard! Your Canada Vacation Goes North
Spend the day in comfort on the train as you relax and appreciate the beauty of the rugged wilderness passing by your window. Forests, mountains, tundra and wildlife, this is your first glimpse of the stunning Canadian arctic. Spend the night on board the train.
Day 3 - Explore Churchill on your Canada Vacation Package
Today will be spent getting to know Churchill on a bus tour that will take you to all the cultural and historic highlights of the town. The tour will also see you into the surrounding area to give you a taste of the tundra; This is the incredible landscape that will be home to the excitement of the days to come. Highlights will include Cape Merry, Port of Churchill and, weather permitting, Manitoba Conservation’s Polar Bear Holding Facility! Spend the night in comfort in Churchill.
Day 4 - Whales and Forts on your Canada Vacation
Only on vacations in Canada can you get this up close and personal with the majestic Beluga; experience this on a three-hour Beluga whale watching tour into the mouth of the Churchill River. Here you will have the chance to encounter hundreds of beluga whales before taking the time to tour the historic Prince of Wales Fort, which is the oldest most northernly stone fort in all of Canada. Spend the afternoon unwinding as you explore Churchill. Spend the night in the town.
Day 5 - Boating with Belugas, Getting to know Polar Bears on your Canada Vacation Package
Today will be especially exciting as you board a Zodiak for a surface-level encounter with the belugas. You are sure to have an incredible experience as you take these boats into the beluga estuary with the world’s largest population of the whales. After a BBQ lunch the afternoon is sure to be equally exciting with a Tundra Buggy Adventure - the best way to get out into the wild to see polar bears in their natural habitat! Safe and snug in a cozy buggy with frost-free double pane glass and propane heating resembling a real fireplace, you’ll be ready for a personal encounter with a wild polar bear.
