ITINERARYDay 1 - Arrive in Winnipeg
Welcome to Winnipeg! If you arrive with extra time, consider visiting the Manitoba Museum, which has nine galleries displaying historical artifacts, or the Royal Canadian Mint to learn about Canadian coins, or strolling down to the Forks, a funky market which is one of the city’s most popular gathering places. Meet with your guide and fellow travelers for dinner this evening. Take the time to get to know your group before spending the night in Winnipeg.
Day 2 - Winnipeg to Churchill
Board a charter flight this morning and fly to Churchill. From the wooded forests of the south to the arid tundra of the North, the landscape below reminds you of just how far you’ve come. Enjoy a town orientation and see route-side points of interest on your way to your hotel. This is the only town in the world with a “Polar Bear Jail”, but it also features a unique history just as noteworthy. Spend some time exploring if you’re not too excited for the days to come. Overnight Churchill.
Day 3 - 6 - Polar Bear Viewing
This is why you’ve come to Churchill. Spend four full days on a specially designed Tundra Buggy, which provides the opportunity to view, photograph and learn about local wildlife and environment. Your specialist guide ensures that you get the most in-depth and valuable experience possible with your polar bear viewing – going where the bears go, offering insight into their behaviours and lives. The inquisitive bears will come right up to the oversized Tundra Buggies, offering you a close – but safe – vantage point to take photos. Overnight in Churchill.
Day 7 - Churchill to Winnipeg
This morning you have time for some last minute souvenir shopping before you return flight to Winnipeg. Re-live memories and bid farewell to you traveling companions at dinner in Winnipeg. Overnight at airport hotel.
Day 8 - Departure
You polar bear package comes to an end with check-out from your hotel.
